Differentiated Technology

Although technology has become a staple in most classrooms across the United States, what are most teachers using it for?  Are we differentiating technology in the classroom in most classes or are only a few willing to venture out? Is there a serious need to now begin a movement for more targeted technology for the needs of students in the classroom?
