I am hoping to be in NY round about November, I will be visiting schools looking to see if they would be interested in taking part in some virtual class lessons. The school I worked with did not have video conferencing equipment, but one of my business contacts organised the class of pupils to visit his office where the conference took place.
I was just wondering if you would be interested.
Hi Darren,
In the virtual classroom you can teach any subject be it English, Art Music etc.
Using either Video Conferencing or Marratech.
The majority of schools in Scotland have video conferencing equipment.
Marratech allows many schools to join the conference.
The last Marratech lesson had 32 schools join in the conference, schools can ask questions by msn or by voice to the Master class Teacher.
It is a fun way to teach. Pupils always have a 10 minute discussion time at the end of the conference. Amazing what they will ask each other.
The last NY school that took part were so impressed with the school uniform and why they had to wear it and how economical it was for their parents.
My last visit to NY I was met by the pupils wearing uniform that they designed. Some of the parents came to meet me to say thank you!!!!!
