Had a fantastic day yesterday at Grantchester, lunch at The Orchard, walked to Cambridge through the meadows and then back for afternoon tea. Not a byte of technology in sight, but I wonder what Brooke, Woolf and Wittgenstein would have made of BlackBerries (not with apples), iPhones, wifi and the like. Possibly quite a lot. A little over two weeks to go, and I shall be beginning a new job in a new school. It's slightly daunting and more than a little scray, but I am determined to rise to the challenge.

There's a great deal to do and I've made a good start. Just need to stay fit and healthy and on the bsll. Enough cliches. To work!
