Had a fantastic day yesterday at Grantchester, lunch at The Orchard, walked to Cambridge through the meadows and then back for afternoon tea. Not a byte of technology in sight, but I wonder what Brooke, Woolf and Wittgenstein would have made of BlackBerries (not with apples), iPhones, wifi and the like. Possibly quite a lot. I sat with my pen and notebook - the paper sort - and felt very erudite. Getting the balance right between using technology and not throwing out everything from the past seems the right challenge. Back again soon for more inspiration.
