Finally got the Spin today, which as you may tell I have been quite anxious to get my hands on. First view on getting out of the box were, 'neat unit compact and lightweight', the handle which adourns other Fizzbook models is as quite as 'in your face' on this model which is a good thing.
Turning on, boots in to Windows XP Home, abit slowly I think, my 4 year old would have probably gone to make a cup of coffee by the time it had loaded up, (thats a metaphorical cup of coffee for those who don't know me), but with years of corporate experience I expect demo models not to be the fastest around.
So we are on and functioning, a brief look around the outside shows me VGA, out, SD Card, 1 * USB, and for use in the KS1/2 market thats plenty. The one grumble is the rotating USB camera at the top, its the place where you normally open a laptop so you have to get used to opening the lid from the side!
But thats enough to start the rest of the afternoon is spent playing and shall blog some more thoughts on the Spin later!
